About Me

Tara Sweatt is a Broker Associate at Coldwell Banker and member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Santa Cruz Association of REALTORS®, focusing her sales and marketing in areas such as: Los Gatos, Almaden, San Jose, Campbell, Cupertino and the beach area homes of Santa Cruz County.

Tara grew up in Almaden Valley and Santa Cruz.  She later moved to Los Angeles where she graduated from Univ. of Southern California with a BA Degree in Communication with an emphasis in Business. 

She coupled her education with her extensive experience and involvement in the family’s construction and demolition companies, real estate investments, designing and staging, her brother’s commercial real estate activities, as well as, following the legal aspects through her mother - a long time litigation attorney.  She became very active in the development and construction of numerous projects including raw land, new homes, extensive remodels, and locating and securing investment properties in Los Gatos, Santa Cruz, Tahoe, Almaden, Hawaii and Costa Rica.  Most properties have been turned into profitable high-end income producing investments or positive cash flow.  She secured her own first home at Sunset Beach in Hawaii at age 24 and a second shortly thereafter, along with her HI Real Estate License 9 years ago. Needless to say, she has developed a real eye for recognizing potential. 

She has been active in vacation home management, and is the broker/owner of her own vacation rental company.  She is never complacent, always expanding her education with the times, has completed several classes towards a CCIM designation, is honest and comes with a wonderful positive attitude and energy.  She also spent three years hosting ESPN sports shows and other TV engagements, enabling her to interact with people from all walks of life around the world, which she so enjoys as an excellent and open communicator.

She returned to California, secured her CA Real Estate License 6 years ago, and is now a settled mother of 2, with a career committed to helping others find and sell their dream homes and investment properties.  She firmly believes a relationship does not end after the sale is closed bringing with her the “Ohana” spirit (which means support, guidance and bonding).  She is dedicated to professionalism and integrity in every aspect.  What sets her apart is she prides herself on the relationships that she builds with each client.  It is important to her to develop closeness with each moment shared to better understand the needs of her clientele.  Believing an informed client makes a better decision, she offers her knowledge of your area with attention to detail and works hard to get the results you want with her undivided attention, following through to the end.  She can find contractors and other services until you are comfortably settled in your new home.  She makes it her mission to treat others as you would want to be treated, with care.
